Description

A delicious, fresh guacamole recipe perfect for parties or as a quick snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 teaspoon garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup red onion (diced)
  • 3 tablespoons cilantro (chopped)
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne powder
  • 2 medium Roma tomatoes (diced)
  • 3 large avocados
  • 1 large lime (juiced)

Instructions

  1. Place the minced garlic and 1 teaspoon of salt directly onto a cutting board. Using a large knife, run the blade of the knife over the garlic to mash the garlic and the salt together, creating a paste-like mixture.
  2. Transfer the garlic and salt mixture to a medium mixing bowl and add the diced red onion, chopped cilantro, cayenne, and tomatoes.
  3. Cut the avocados in half and remove the seeds, then scoop out the flesh and add to the rest of the ingredients in the bowl. Squeeze lime juice on the avocados, then using a fork or a potato masher, mash the avocados to desired consistency.
  4. Mix all of the ingredients together, taste and season with extra salt, lime juice, and cilantro if needed. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a spicier guacamole, adjust the cayenne powder to taste.
  • Serve with tortilla chips or fresh veggies for dipping.
