Description

This delicious pizza bread is perfect for a party or family meal, serving 6 to 8 people. It’s easy to make and packed with flavor, while being completely pork-free.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large loaf French bread
  • 1 cup (240 ml) marinara or pizza sauce
  • 2 cups (200 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup (50 g) shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • ½ cup beef or turkey pepperoni (pork-free)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice the French bread in half lengthwise and place cut-side up.
  3. In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat. Stir in Italian seasoning and garlic powder.
  4. Brush bread lightly with olive oil. Spread pizza sauce evenly over both halves.
  5. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella over the sauce.
  6. Add cooked ground beef and beef/turkey pepperoni.
  7. Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.
  8. Bake 12–15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly. Broil 1–2 minutes for a golden top if desired.
  9. Let rest a few minutes, slice, and serve.
