Deliciously soft donuts filled with a creamy strawberry cheesecake filling and topped with a sweet glaze.

- 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar, divided
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup strawberry jam
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)
- Vegetable or canola oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Dissolve yeast and 1 tablespoon sugar in warm milk.
- Add remaining sugar, flour, salt, butter, and egg. Knead until smooth and slightly tacky.
- Place dough in a greased bowl. Cover and rise for 1 hour until doubled.
- Roll dough to ½-inch thickness. Cut into rounds and rest for 15–20 minutes.
- Heat oil to 375°F. Fry donuts for 1–2 minutes per side until golden. Cool completely.
- Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Fold in strawberry jam.
- Whisk glaze ingredients until smooth.
- Pipe filling into cooled donuts. Dip tops into glaze and let set.

- Ensure the milk is warm but not too hot to activate the yeast.
- For a richer flavor, use vanilla bean paste instead of extract.
