- 12 oz cheese tortellini
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup bell peppers, chopped (red or yellow)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat; sauté onions and garlic until golden.
- Add ground beef; cook until browned, draining excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in bell peppers, marinara sauce, and Italian seasoning; simmer for 5 minutes.
- Gently fold in cooked tortellini until well coated.
- Transfer to the baking dish, top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
Notes
- This dish can be prepared ahead of time and baked just before serving.
- Substituting turkey or chicken for ground beef can reduce the fat content.
