- 4 ears fresh corn on the cob (husks and silks removed)
- 4 quarts water
- 1 teaspoon salt (optional)
- 2 tablespoons butter (optional, for serving)
Instructions
- Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil over high heat.
- Add the shucked corn cobs to the boiling water.
- Cover the pot and return the water to a boil.
- Once boiling again, cook the corn for 5-7 minutes until tender and bright yellow.
- Remove the corn with tongs and let cool slightly before serving.
- Serve with butter and salt if desired.
