A hearty and flavorful cabbage beef casserole perfect for dinner.

- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 medium yellow onion (diced)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 3 pounds chopped cabbage
- 29 ounces tomato sauce
- 1 cup uncooked white rice
- 2 teaspoons dry parsley
- 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt (or 3/4 teaspoon table salt)
- 1 teaspoon dry dill
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 3/4 cups beef broth
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray a 9 by 13 inch baking dish with cooking spray and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook the beef, breaking it up. Once broken up, add the onion and garlic. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes or until the beef is cooked. Drain the excess grease.
- In 2 large bowls, combine the beef mixture with the chopped cabbage, tomato sauce, rice, parsley, salt, dill, and pepper. Mix well to combine and then put in the prepared baking dish.
- Pour the beef broth over the casserole. Cover and bake for 1 hour. Stir, re-cover, and then return to the oven for 30 to 40 minutes or until the rice is fully cooked.
- Serve with sour cream.
