Description

A delicious cheesy beef and fries casserole perfect for serving a crowd.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs (900 g) ground beef
  • ½ yellow onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 bag (28–32 oz / 800–900 g) frozen French fries
  • 2 cups (200 g) shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon pickle relish
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • Cooked bacon bits
  • Diced pickles
  • Chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a skillet, cook ground beef with onion and garlic over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Spread frozen fries in a 9×13-inch baking dish. Bake for 15 minutes to crisp slightly.
  4. Remove from oven and evenly spread cooked beef over fries.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  6. Return to oven and bake 10–15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Mix all burger sauce ingredients until smooth.
  8. Drizzle sauce over hot casserole and add optional toppings before serving.
