Description

A deliciously creamy chicken dish topped with mushrooms and parmesan, perfect for a cozy dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 lbs (680g) chicken breast cutlets
  • 8 oz (225g) mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream or half-and-half
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) chicken broth
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 cup (50g) parmesan cheese, grated
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, sear chicken in olive oil until golden; remove and set aside in a baking dish.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté mushrooms and garlic until soft.
  4. Stir in broth, cream, thyme, and parmesan; simmer until slightly thickened.
  5. Pour the creamy mushroom sauce over the chicken in the baking dish.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and chicken is cooked through.
  7. Garnish with parsley and serve.

Notes

  • This dish pairs well with rice or a side salad.
  • For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half with milk.
