Description

Delicious sliders made with Italian sausage, Hawaiian rolls, and mozzarella cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces Italian sausage
  • 1 (12 ounce) pkg Hawaiian rolls
  • 2 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese (shredded and divided)
  • 1 (4 ounce) pkg pepperoni
  • 1/2 cup sliced olives
  • 1/4 cup butter (melted)
  • 2 teaspoons garlic (finely minced)
  • 1/2 teaspoon italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese (divided)
  • pizza sauce for dipping

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet on medium-high heat and add the Italian sausage. Cook until browned and no longer pink, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Remove to a paper towel to drain.
  2. Using a serrated knife, slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally so you have a top layer and a bottom layer. Place the bottom layer into a baking sheet or 9×13 baking pan.
  3. Add 1/2 of the shredded cheese onto the bottom layer followed by 1/2 of the pepperoni slices.
  4. Add the cooked Italian sausage on top, followed by the remaining shredded cheese.
  5. Add the sliced olives evenly over the sausage and cheese. Place the top layer of slider buns on top.
  6. In a small bowl, add the butter, garlic, Italian seasoning, parsley, and 1 tablespoon of Parmesan cheese and mix until combined.
  7. Brush the butter mixture over the top of the slider buns. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  8. Remove from the oven and sprinkle the remaining grated Parmesan on top, and serve with a side of pizza sauce.
