Description
This delicious peach cobbler is perfect for summer and can be enjoyed warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream.

- 4 cups fresh peaches (peeled and sliced)
- 1 cup granulated sugar (divided)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine sliced peaches, 1/2 cup sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and cornstarch. Toss to coat the peaches evenly.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk and melted butter until just combined.
- Pour the peach mixture into a greased 9-inch baking dish. Spoon the batter over the peaches, spreading it evenly.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until the topping is golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For a twist, add a pinch of nutmeg to the peach mixture.
