Description

Delicious cheesecake turnovers filled with strawberry goodness, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 ½ cups strawberries, diced
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 puff pastry sheets, thawed but cold
  • 1 egg + 1 tbsp water (egg wash)
  • Coarse sugar (optional but cute)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 12 tbsp milk/cream
  • ½ tsp vanilla

Instructions

  1. Simmer strawberries, sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice for 5–7 minutes until thick. Cool completely.
  2. Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Mix in yolk, vanilla, and flour. Chill for 10 minutes.
  3. Cut puff pastry into 6 rectangles per sheet.
  4. Keep the pastry cold and place cheesecake filling in the center with strawberry filling on top.
  5. Fold, seal, and crimp the edges. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with coarse sugar.
  6. Bake at 400°F for 15–18 minutes until golden.
  7. Drizzle vanilla glaze over warm turnovers and enjoy!

Notes

  • For best results, make sure the puff pastry is kept cold until ready to use.
